Leaving for a few days to the beach for a chick weekend with the girls and my aunts! I will be bringing my laptop, but I doubt there will be any access there, so don’t worry about me, I will be soaking up the rays and dancing in the surf. I will be liberally applying sunscreen as well.

I will take pics too for consumption upon my return.

About two months ago, I planted starter seeds. As most of you saw, they suffered horrible deaths after mistakenly being left out in one of the worst thunderstorms that I can remember. You can imagine my surprise today that when I finally was able to go out and weed the perennial garden today, there were a few plants that shouldn’t have been there, growing with vigor! Four pea pod seeds had been stolen by my toddler and “planted” atop the soil. I can only guess she wanted to be like her mommy that day. Either then when I tossed the soil to make way for the hyacinth bushes or by some natural selection involving plants, the seeds grew up to be big plants!

She wanted to help.

She did.

What’s even more amusing is that I have a few other vegetable plants growing in places were they weren’t quite expected, either. For instance two more pea vines at the end of the driveway, and a pepper plant near the deck. The sad part is, they’re growing better where they’re not supposed to be, than the ones in my garden.

Go figure.

I love Oswald. Voiced by Fred Savage, this blue ocotopus is charming! However, watching it today with my 3 year old daughter, there was an episode that made me double take. Granted, the innuendo should be flying over any toddler’s head, but it just got worse and worse as the half hour went on. I was laughing so hard I was practically crying.

I think this officially starts me on the dangerous and hedonistic path to “cougardom.” I find Ashton Kutcher very appealing. I do realize that Ashton is 30 years old, but this statement is coming from a woman who swore never to look at a man who was younger in age due to known programming faults in maturity circuits.

Now I find him yummy.

It can only get worse from here.

On the first day where temps are actually supposed to hit 90 degrees, I’m packing up the three kids and heading down south to Rhode Island. Yes, I’ve brough sun screen! I even packed polish ham sandwiches with fresh cucumber and mayonnaise.

As I have something living underneath my desk. I went to fix myself breakfast and found this little pest had moved in while I was gone and brought all her friends.
