Here Be Dragons

  1. Vince Said,

It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
    And I feel fine.

    R.E.M.

  2. ed Said,

It means we’ve become like roaches, occupying lands no one occupied except out of dire necessity (cept volcano areas, they’re very damn fertile and statisticly good to go usually).

think of it like a carnival game. the one with the dart and the balloons. except not rigged. The more baloons per square foot, the better your odds. In the last 1000 years, we’ve what? gone from less than 500 million to what, 6700 million?

also, when folk disappered back then, BBC wasn’t there to do a running body count.

  3. Nathan Said,

The other night I tripped the lights continental drift divide.
    Mount St. Edelite. Leonard Bernstein.
Leonid Breshnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester Banks.
Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom!
You symbiotic, patriotic, slam, book, neck, right? Right.

It’s the end of the world as we know it.

(The ‘Leonard Bernstein’ has always been my favorite part. And I haven’t got a clue what it means.)

  4. kim Said,

I have to get my kids to stop watching the news. Bug (who is 7) is deeply concerned for mankind and has questions. As in..Why doesn’t God do something about it?

Why won’t she ask me the easy questions..you know..like where babies come from or something.
