Happy Halloween!

Last night I smelled like fresh pumpkin as I cut triangle shapes and circles out of the orange flesh that once stood sentry in their whole gourdy forms. Their soft glow is oddly comforting and are said to ward away evil spirits.

This morning, Alexis woke me to get dressed for school. We picked out a spider queen costume at Target yesterday, and I have to say, she looks cute without looking too adult. Frankly, with some of the costume choices out there, I’d rather see her stay a little girl for as long as I can.

Allyson won’t have to get dressed in costume until tonight but insisted on doing it this morning when her sister was getting ready. She’s at the age where copying her sister is of utmost importance.

Doesn’t she sorta look like Michelle from Full House? I think the wings on this costume are incredibly adorable. Regardless, I hope whatever plans you have for this evening are fun and very safe! Happy Halloween to all those ghouls and ghosts, bats and spiders out there on this Hallow’s Eve.
