Why can’t I find a guy like Chuck Bartowski. It’s a nice polish name, my mother would be proud. I happened upon the NBC show “Chuck” on a lonely friday night while looking for the new Heroes episode on NBC. Created by Josh Schwartz and directed by McG (Charlie’s Angels remake), I was skeptical at first. Yet just a few minutes into the pilot, I was laughing out loud.
While some of the situations that the main character finds himself in are well, extraordinary, it doesn’t detract from the entire action packed and hilarious story.
Yeah, Chuck’s cool. I particularly like his sister’s boyfriend’s nick name. “Captain Awesome,” if you haven’t noticed, or if you didn’t see the first episode. Chuck is campy goofy cool, and the blonde spy girl takes the inner 12-year-old back to when I first saw Goldfinger. What a combo.
