So, apparently there is a major software conflict with the Logitech brand of web cameras and my computer. After a total of four rebuilds, four hours of tech support, the conclusion was that the Logitech just wouldn’t work with my system config.
So I went out and bought the Microsoft lifecam thinking that it had to work. Well, it did! There are some neat features as well. Like this!
Just need to put some water in the background, and I’ve turned my livingroom into the pool I’ve always wanted. Although, as I was playing around with the scuba gear, I was accompanied by Rufus the spider.
As menacing as Rufus may look, he doesn’t bite, which is good for me, because look at the size of those pinchers!
All in all, the Lifecam isn’t a bad deal. I don’t think the picture quality matches up to what I was getting from the Logitech when it was working, but it makes up for that with fun.
