Did losing all those Iraq war pullout date office pools whittle away at his $168K/year salary?
While I’m sure the White House will spin this to look as if they ultimately planned it, I’m laughing hysterically that Bush’s ‘people’ are abandoning ship just timely enough to be called survivors of the S.S. Lame Duck, instead of committing career suicide in going down with the ship.

Don’t forget he has cancer…
He can likely make MUCH more in the private sector than he can in government service, so if he’s paying for top notch health care, he may need a cushy consulting gig in order to pay for the medical bills.
My problem with Bush isn’t necessarily his prosecution of the war in Iraq–my problem with him is that he plays the little dictator a bit too well.

I have a feeling that he knows he only gonna be able to earn for 2 to 5 years before he unable to preform. He need to horde some cash up to keep his family in there current life style and send them all to collage.
